Go young people

 For the first time in decades I don't feel my participation in writing and campaigning is worth it, because the people are very fickle and desperate; the parties stink and are far too comfortable.

All we like sheep, we go astray 

One thing I will consider ( not because I think independents are the answer ) is the move amongst some of the young people in SW Victoria to campaign for someone who truly represents them.
#AlexDyson ( JJJ) didn't offer preferences. Nothing is perfect, but when our young people are at least interested in changing the future locally and from the ground up , for themselves and don't ALWAYS look to preferencing ( es housing and work ) that's encouraging.

A prediction . The country will be screaming for change by June 2023

 Labor got in this week by pretending to be all things caring to all change hungries Always a majority of the later --just wish they weren't so easily led.  

The fact that their dog's breakfast of a noncoalition haven't agreed on anything yet  means they are far from work-ready. It was a way  the lightweights found a  way to jump the hurdle ; The mad marginal voter type doesn't help get sensible leaders. 

BUT when you offer to tip the world upside down without having no plan you are going to just look stupid when you get the reins - this madness is never going to work. 
By being good at creating an impression, they may last a month or two more . 
So it won't be long  before this airy fairy assembly is turned upside down

This relief is not to their credit but God's grace because they don't deserve any credit for a blind reactionary move to raise the basic minimum wage rate.  No plan for heating or cooling the earth except to make people pay more for energy in 2022 and then switch the heaters off.

It will be all by the seat of their red hot pants as Chalmers celebration of the contravening of his own foreign policy ( to give citizenship to  a family of illegal immigrants )  I am sure foreign policy will be one big dog's breakfast that will please neither Marles Rudd or Wong .
This hypocritical throw away government , are,  after all working on the mandate of "don't tell the public what you are going to do - just get power first and THEN DO  what YOU  feel like"   We'll go bloke with these wokes .

It just that only the woosiest of adults have NOW let the children decide.  To give in to good intentions alone, would be to let democracy become a simple irrational obsenity..
I have lived to see my well educated generation  commit such an obscenity ; Instead of the God who cares in space and time , they have chosen the god of the strong ( over 50% shall dominate ) over the weak who by faith can NEVER be wrong. Not only wrong and unsustainable but not wise ( stepping backwards) 
These woosy parents have yet to witness the hopeless racket in Parliament that comes from accepting house rules written by the children 

Anyone who has worked with a  group of people knows that the majority can be wrong so whats with mature people wearing the blinkers; too afraid to adopt the  principals of fairness  ( everyone should get a proper hearing every day of every week in Parliament  ) but the principle of might is right . Good old Labor ___the most UNFAIREST OF PARTIES  MR MARLES 




It would be funny if it wasn't so religious in its high-minded ambitions and complete impracticability.
Strange that, at this moment, the innocents and cynics in the cities are choosing to play god and solve the climate problem when they haven't got a clue about what they are going to do about the problem. Just throw money and old tech as Labor did before? . 
It s just plain scary because instead of feeding its people , its going to starve them ( with higher taxes ) while the committee decide. . 
The rich wage, tax, margin and shareholder trains down there won't slow down as quickly as the spirit of the people who feed them .
The hastily drawn together  committee will never agree . 
Over the next three years the cities will learn that they know nothing and therefore cannot agree on anything. 
At least rural people will remain unified through the next three years while the wokes spend their days wandering around in the mire of indecision and ignorance they have created or sought to limit themselves to. 

Morrison has given away his opportunity to be an effective resistance to the new climate change alliance ( that ephemeral nonsense maybe the only thing the new wishy washup agree on ) by agreeing to net zero. How dumb and blind are these leafy suburb liberals are. 
LIVING WITH ALL THEIR OWN HOT AIR 

The dopey teal independents are hoping that green investments will work. The reality is that the working class are not going to pay these facile newbies  to build more windmills and sequestration schemes that don't do anything for climate. The energy realities of Europe will show up the dumb dreaming of the left before a few more days are up .

And many of us know that the mean girls won't go away because they will not have a basis for practical outcomes. Their anger only reinforce the growth of  unhappy and bitchy  XX syndrome which will now go to XXcess -- Typically such denial-based projection and fanaticism means they DON"T  know / face what they hate  ( all they know is that they hate the situation they find themselves in - some version of a Y chrome mad world ?  )  so they don't how to change the situation. 
 

BACK TO THE REAL WORLD 
 I have been fighting for proper representation for regional areas for decades. I will probably now give up. -- certainly for 3years.  The simple "change is good "idea people will be hanging out for change WELL before the next election . 

It was a miracle the LNP got in last time. The teal independents will prove me right in that our democracy is totally unfair because the city has a stranglehold on what happens.And it knows nothing . 
The weird thing is that this is not a win for common sense, but for the mad maths that says that the majority should dominate, the mad inhuman stuff that says the strong must dominate the weak. 

50 km out is now the only place where conservatives are taken seriously.
Thankfully we won't change. we will have friends who make sense and make good company .
God help the wokedoms cause they are a house divided and will fail.

The result is not unexpected .A  coalition that is not a coa-anything that is agreed upon . The  next 3 years will scare the life of parliament and people alike .  

I have fought for conservatives for several decades. With all the people living in cities, the result is not to the credit of any wisdom in the cities ; only on their numbers.

The city will now get what they deserve - more dreaming, more woke, guilt and giving in to dependency demands, projection and nothing to inspire our children or employ them. Debts, taxes and disparity outta control.

Because of the shallow faith in mere numbers ( the strong should dominate the weak), we dinosaurs will not be welcome within 50 km of cities.
The parliament hung up by stubborn individuals who think they know is not to be welcomed , let alone trusted .

Reject the quickfixers but watch out for more tyrants

 It has to be said that going Independant is a bit of a fad and there is every chance ( we should all be intelligent gamblers or cynics or both?) that most of the current crop are ,if not me generation" my way of the highway" types,
will  turn out to be ONE HIT WONDERS.Are they real team players or snake oil salemen ?

This foray may not be all good for Australia because desperation breeds http://quickfiz.blogspot.com and we need polys with staying power.

Independent candidates often appeal to people because they offer " the new " and seem progressive. not burdened by " the past" and the staid old stuff.  Fair enough-- that's me and most rural people everywhere .

While I will still make the difficult decision to support conservatives and team players, a good friend Augusto Zimmermann has just released a book on Scomo pointing out that he and many others in Parliament are living on the unsustainable whiff of appearing strong ( when we are surrounded by weakness woosy and soft -- the puppets in charge of parties for eg)
Think of ALL THE PREMIERS who wouldn't be in power if they weren't focused on pretending to be TOUGH ( say on lung infections ) - who now insist on mandating what makes no sense.


My point -- don't end up with puppets in charge because those who act strong and tough but aren't, will fall .The independent can be the tyrant who hasn't got the team spirit.   Aim for long term gain by rejecting the short term gain spinners everytime

What do you do with Independants ?

 You should value them , especially if their work in the locality is well known and respected.
Fine. Vote for an independent/minor but remember your main vote is either LNP or GreenLabor in charge and you have to choose between them .  IMO Your second vote should be for one of them. 

Don't just vote according to the voting suggestion  card.
Use both of your Votes ! 

Mastering the flat battery syndrome

  If Labor win the next federal election it won't be because they make sense  They have the numbers in the city ( where common environmental sense doesn't matter )  - as this site shows  ( unlike Antony Greens hypocrisy maps on ABC don't show)   .

I do hope the people of Australia see the powerless projects of Greenlabor just as they have seen , at the best , that many people have a faith ( as all the labor  church  attendees have shown in recent weeks ) other than in stupid and ignorant polys and their machines . Bandt has summarized their joint position - stop everything and do nothing. 
What a terrible state for once proudly clever and competent focused Aussies . 
 Shorten failed to connect to the power source and now Albo is headed the same way .( recharging stations)   Could he be any dumber? 
Clearly ( as all Labor people with intelligence know )following the ignorant and arrogant idle minded  Greens is a recipe for dumbness and disaster  -- and yet the Labor party will  do it

I am a  professional greenie,  but political Greenies  love to talk about important issues without actually finding out how things work in nature and then working with nature .That is plain wrong and leads to generalized idealistic bull. 

Worse, their worship of nature means they don't wanna work with sacred nature ( say recycling native chemicals ) and that makes them dumb scientists ,hypocritical and irresponsible ( they have no plan for response-able interference in nature )

 

Like most polys too( as now many young people realize )they think they know and because they haven't really connected to the grid in any effective way ( politics MUST be achievable. practical and realistic ) they are just unpredictable and dangerous when they get the power they seek .

 DO not support them in coalition -- even Labor don't trust them, but they WILL  go to bed with each other if people vote for either of them 

Do what you like people .

 Democracy doesn't work .....and what what doesn't work in a  technological society will get thrown out   
 

And the city really doesn't have to listen , It has enough people to safely say it can ignore the small voices . It can and does !  What sort of person sits where fair play stinks.

 
There is safety in many voices but at the moment  greenlabor are drunk with the power they have to do just whatever they like --OR  sorry what some twit in the margins wants .
Any one who currently sits in parliament should  resign or get reforms to the electoral act so that our children have something to believe  in . Go independents. 

We can now do the impossible

I'll leave you to fill in the details. One example , the noisemakers believe it can meet Net Zero targets when in reality  these people have absolutely no idea how to do it.  

Those of us who have advised ministers know the problem .
The person in charge doesn't know what he/ she doesn't know. ( and won't admit it , just as the people who voted for them have the same problem) 

We all know it takes a big ego  to lead, but there are times in democratic history when only the outta touch want to be elected. 
The ones who know that the job description given by the electors is impossible have better things to do. 

Amazingly,  it's the faith of the people that " the majority of people know what they are doing"  that is at the heart of the inflated expectations of this day .

Sometimes they simply don't . 
  
There was a time in recent history when parliament would actually hear the practical reality corrections from members that would make its laws work . The  good intentions of the initiator would have some hope of making sense in practice. 
Because of that possibility ( sometimes ) some of us practical economists and ecologists have spent years trying to shoot down the simplicities . 

Why aren't we no longer being listened to ?  Because the challenges  we as  society face are very complex, involve conflict , not obvious costs and consequences ; effectiveness requires the sort of coopertaion not easily obtained .
Dr Dan is leading the innovative response to this by forcing obedience. It would be good if he knew what he was doing. 

For the moment he looks like he is effectively spending our resources,   but his quick fix approach ( and the long feedback time ) means  that there will be  no long term gain from all his ever changing  pain plans .  

Daniel Andrews was and is  talking the impossible. The appeal of tackling the impossible is strong esp when you are not paying . You only have to look at their failed investments and their non existent  qualifications to promote practical use of our taxes.

When both USA candidates remind us that we  seem to get the government we deserve.  
When  we see the truth that empty phrases fill the pages., we ought to be praying rather than putting our hopes in polys and political processes.  
I mean somehow some good has come out of it ...so how did that happen? 
Maybe there is a God after all , because the gods before us have feet of clay and voices like yesterdays wind.   
The man whose mouth is an open book coins the truth of "fake" news and we all realize that he /we would rather have someone remove all doubt than have a living voice that repeats only slogans of the past .

The GIS group who produced the red blue maps for the USA probably didn't realize they would be proclaiming the truth to us to USA  and the whole wide world  that the city//country . progressives/\/ conservatives divide was so real. If you don't trust the claims of the consistently tough but loving God found in the great collection , you will find it very tough to  find someone you can trust . The earth bound ones, in our democracy  

ACT as if they know what they are doing. It is true  as Professor  John Passmore said   in his wonderful Boyer lecturers on the the Limits of Government . Leaders find it almost impossible to tell the public that they don't really know exactly what to do
.It will help you to understand the applicants  even if this information doesn't help them. It will also help you to chose a leader who doesn't pretend to know too much   even if his heart and his latest achievements are on his sleeve ,he knows from experience to listen in order to get
consensus and results.
It will help you to see the real possibilities by studying not what they talk about doing but How they have done things and exactly HOW they will change the world. How much acting,  how much play acting and how much doing ?  
In hard economic times  or "when the people want only what they want"  only actors may apply for the job

 False hope  A  very poor leader is one who acts to please the people - who gives them what they want . Good news or" we are doing ok news ", .When the people are desperate for hope, such  offer solutions that target hope alone. If that hope be heavenly, it takes our minds from the real world politics that doesn't work?  

God assumption This person might not say they are God, but they ACT like they are. The  situation occasionally arises in history when such a person , who may not have been trained his mind this way,   will use various bits of the above to make him/her appear that way.   Idolatry is common enough .

 I think the people have enough evidence of the fanciful , and enough good sense , to make a choice for the practical at this time. If I am right it will show in the  candidate wins as well . If i am right it will show in the candidates win more that in the votes for president .

Clearly the fanatical reactionary progressives in Australia are still in shock from last time. They  have not seen that many of their heavenly minded agendas are on the "reality is needed" skids too  .    



BIG PICTURE The idea of a president elect is not one I support, but the idealistic, reactionary  and out of touch attitudes of Democrats ( in general ) I cannot support .
The vulnerability of many thinking people to the Stockholm syndrome astounds me.
Q&A chairman last night tried to frame COVID as a crisis/virus  we can control and therefore people who don't agree with spending an "abundance of economic reserves" being poured into are deniers... 
No people who throw an "abundance of caution" at  a problem are those who are out of touch with the real world (esp when they ty to use our money and not real world risk management  to make decisions)

If a new association were thinking more they would win the hearts of our young people for a better and fairer and more stable working place /democracy as Ray Martin and  Kathy McGowan are now doing  . Being tough . Adjusting our representation so it is much more fair .

 24 candidates are on offer for 7 positions in Warnambool,( photo)   If 2 let alone 3 friends ( shown here ) get in they can have over 50% of the casing vote . 

The system must be changed back to at  least 11 candidates and maybe wards or this nonsense will kil democracy and faith in it .
The numbers of Shires in administration  is not unexpected - more mayhem to come ?

Sure they talked up some of the inadequacies of the old Western institutions but they forget the real future of any "evolution" is in reform , not revolution .You have to understand the enemy before you can defeat him.
Greenlabor is running a new religion where they expect moral sacrifice (CC control by us stop burning coal) , don't talk reasonable actions or even theories . Might have a worked a little longer except the people didn't buy in to the incomprehensible action plan and who was paying for this unsustainable irrational and highly costly religion to survive

Labor has lost its way.

A lot of wannabes are outta touch ; we in the country have known this for decades
They live and move and have their being in a flat landscape ; infront of screens and other flat surfaces like roads houses and cities .fact checking what they don't really understand,hoping that one day the wicked world of rhetoric will one day prove itself to be the holy place that the media have made it. ( oh dear )
At the crossroads with the unbelieving tyranny of the Greens, Labor needs to decide whether it has the guts to run a revolution,  and what form that would take ( so far nothing concrete) ;
The only option Labor has  is to see the benefits of Conservative history and then grow to gain ground by running back into stable substantial sustainable elements of history with the reformers

Quickfix . A secret garden  ( you can't get a plan its content and processes for evil control are hidden) where things die and we don't know why . Pity these immature practitioners don't know the first rule of conservation/road to tyranny and fanaticism -- labor still has some power .
Long term pain follows short term gain   if you don't understand and respect the economy of the ecosystem you get it wrong - you waste taxes meant to do good .

Democracies at Risk - AUSTRALIA

Background - the victory of the pedants over the principled. Labors insistence on the myopic dominance of one vote one value has meant for those living in the wide brown land that they are under the tyranny of being told what the regions problems/challenges/opportunities  are by those in the cities who simply do not know them .

Yes we have had a miracle here in Australasia in May 2019( and there are bit challenges elsewhere ) but here is ours alive well and still to threat our home and ability to reason well together down under 

A growing threat 
I was drawn into politics simply because even though I had one of the best jobs in the world working with some of the most productive people in the world, the city started telling us how to look after the earth. That would have been fine if the city knew something we didn't ( and
I didn't have a post grad from our great education system ) but nothing in 3 decades of dealing with the most arrogant and ignorant alliance of ideologues I know means  means Greenlabor should back off and show some respect .

The battle is certainly lost as the Vic state level for decades with Labor now settled into a comfortable  sense that they know something about something that requires our best skills and competencies. The comfortable team of reactionaries does not realize that if not done well  attempted governance in ignorance risks  the lives and minds and careers of those who are competent to deal with complex environmental and production  challenges.

Been out campaigning listening ..........and its exhausting.
I don't intend to connect the dots but

Corangamite should have been won by Labor on the numbers. It was designed to .The fact that democracy is structurally in trouble is one thing we have to live with for the moment . Nothing good for the country is going to happen while the compromisers see their numbers to stay in power (see earlier posts ) .. 
So why you might ask ? Because of  forces many do not see and not everyone is a pedant and lives and moves and has their being on words and numbers .    

1. There is a deep mystery in true Democracy . Mere Parties, like us as human individuals, are all corrupt . The choice ( because we have to choose parties - political decisions are  always hard )is always for some form of corruption . If you accept that reality you will participate ( cause Churchill said its best ) and you will choose the people ( the individuals) you trust the most .

1. Make your choice pedants - norms or names in control .The shallow thing about this campaign being "too presidential shows how pedantically simple and reactionary most post moderns are. When the progressives new thing is not working and when the parties look a mess,  any president stands out - that doesn't mean its right eh! 
2. The children are in charge of two of the parties at least ( if not the Senate) and many thinking people KNOW it even if media do not  ,
   Tanya and Richard squabbling over who was going to be best at changing the world was all teh electorate needed to see 
3. Bill was clearly making promises he couldn't keep.
   
   And don't think it was all about the BB worried about their self funded schemes . It was, in part,   but as we have found before in 2007 in Corangamite and  since --when you still have more sense than our city centrics  we know  this truly conservative statement  to be true .

A guide for the young voter

  With even just a few passionate young people - there is great hope for the future
What my generation don't get is that thinking young people don't trust the parties - esp the majors .
Why do those mature enough to know better get sucked in when the Majors pitch their story to get power , Innocent Christians,  in particular seem vulnerable to the naming of best intention when they should know that behind the surface can lurk great evil  .
With even just a few passionate young people - there is great hope for the future . Pity my generation have infected them with their own cynicism.

Perhaps these people are stupid, easily led, bad business people (if you can do business out here you can do it anywhere)   or , just shallow, fickle ( or needing someone to listen to them  so they don't commit suicide ), or ....perhaps .....they don't trust their own TV  broadcaster who uses taxpayer funds to remind us of just how good they are . Whatever the truth ABC families and ABCTV presenters and producers have a lot to answer for .

This election campaign May 2019.  When ABC commentators suggested Shorten had won the debate on 72 we all thought - "were we watching the same debate "? . The ABC kindergarten  group of fact checkers are right about the need for facts but  they are not always reporting the ones they think don't fit the story  - not their job to judge . Too often its commentary not reporting - let us be the judge and stop wasting OUR time on YOUR version?  You would think ABC journalists would resist gutter talk but no "Barnaby is guilty before the  trial " ( the now compromised election trial  named as Watergate ) and ABC's selection of Ad Hominem is fine - to report on  

Back to the facts
Many of us are saying in this campaign
So why don't the people  we know trust Labor? I mean after seeing how Wong and Burke messed up in myth over decades over MD and still can't get it right,  I know I would never ever trust them to look after the environment,,,,,,  but Bill ? He's nice enough .
The trouble is, just  like Daniel Andrews , he is defending,  like most puppets , what is behind him - and that group is neither unified, consistent of even remotely competent  . The disease comes to the surface as confounding trite and confusing.  When we here cries of disunity we think; " takes one 2 know one??"
Unlike the LNP,  who are predictable , what we "see" in the image is  a coalition that' we don't see - its a compromise hidden from the public .
 The reality is that Labor has been losing credibility for years and the minor parties are their links to survival... . at least till now

ANSWER

Labor is lost , and has lost credibility in its own right, by trying to deny its coalition with the Greens and other fringe groups..Vote Labor and you don't know what you will get !
 You would think , as an ABC viewer, that the Conservatives ( esp Nationals) were on the nose ,when its really Labor that's been losing support for decades ( eg Rudd dressed up as one ).

As we all know the Greens are going off in a big way and Labor should be shoring up the marriage for its own sake. However avoiding the issue of tough talk they drag us both into the clouds with fairyland talk &tax( nothing concrete) about “a climate election “ .
The reality deep down,  in their lack of thinking is many of the groups in this hidden coalition actually  think alike and are now just as shallow ,impractical and unscientific  as each other ( see the posts below ) .
Paradoxically, If Labor should  win Corangamite it won’t be a victory for democracy , but the very denial of it,- disproportionate representation . See the original maps of federation and their regional rather than citified focus

And don't forget the false unity and political inertia created by groups living on naturalistic fallacies

Pushing sh.. uphill

New labor is not like old Labor - it relies on support from those whose only faith is in the naturalistic fallacy.

 If you follow that simple logic you not only get lost but you become committed  to change only what worked before, because intervention IS  not natural;  you become an enemy of our civilization . not a friend as many in the alternative news sector  and environmental ecos are telling us.You encourage inertia .

See Labors  idea and commitment  to making water , pushing sewerage around with 1.5 volts and lots of coal to make more water, charge the batteries for their new wonder cars,  stopping more dead and dying trees with more Council meddling and buying credits overseas .   . If the aforementioned   is all that the grand schemers for a Climate change election and taxgrab for change  can  come up with - be assured its a lot of hot air for no result . Like the last time they were in power
Why would people vote for a party whose failure to deliver on their promises last time was the reason they lost power ? whose cost benefit package in the form of Bill , noone, not even  even Bill  can explain

Consequences of the new religion
It maybe popular and comfortable ( The faith says " Its only me that matters ") to use the naturalistic fallacy,  but it's not practical - we live in society . As  pointed out ALSO by Moore et al the mixing of fact with moral norms means you can't always separate the too when a bit of logic or reason is required .And that need is quite often . 
With the adoption of this faith. logic takes second place to the screaming match . I'm a very big cat and I make a lot of noise. Survival of the biggest. See it ???
As half the country knows,  the attempt by vegans  to take the moral high ground over animal cruelty can work a lot of angst with the easily confounded when  the naturalistic fallacy is the only faith that many people now have . The fact that vegans aren't the only ones to care for animals and the ways in which they do that --   is NOW not possible to discuss,  because  of the anti naturalist assumption .

The point is as David Christian has pointed out Progressives can't argue that we are making progress if the result of much of our educational efforts ( fillin em with facts) results in Epistemological despair and worse - A default position -a bunch of DIMWITS Doing It My Way Is Truth Societies     . Instead of being like the thinking unbelievers and believers alike say we should be ( using verified facts ) Christian notes that growing numbers of people just latch onto the naturalistic fallacy - which avoids argument
This quick closure clause means most of the time" if it exists it ought to be"  .- even if its evil   Clearly if we all believed  that , this blog would not mean anything, and nothing would change because there is no real need for change -   We don't need to do anything especially anything against the flow
