Celebrating the dream of progress

Its a easy thing to live in the future . So easy the majority can be busy lost in it .
The past is too concrete with too concrete connections, connections that turn out to be failed investments ----making water , designing energy systems that haven't yet been invented.
A few days before the election I posted this

Celebrating the shovel brigade

Daniel Andrews and his sentimental big spenders will in the aftermath of their win on Saturday glory in the fact they have a few things over the Liberals . One of them is that they realise that a good public service can be a good thing .Libs need a wakeup call

What Greenlabor fail to realise is that there is no clever country commitment about the country matters.  Our kids are being insulted by all this careless talk by Labor about clever country .
The management class in the cities are happy to hand out the shovels and consulatncy briefs to their new friends , but such shit is no hope for those who still scream out for something creative to do ( and think); Those who are reduced to  painting Graffiti on our public picture walls .

Big payouts to the management class has been ignoring the clever class by trusting in managment documents created in kindergarten .

Open letter to those who say they represent us but who pander to the powerful and popular. .

Dear Richard,
I know you will be busy, but please consider asking Parliament reps in Agriculture, Environment, Energy  and Education ( including Commonwealth) how many of these new public servant jobs are building professions.
I know full well that the idea of a sound professional public service is not popular with many of your old cronies, but Conservatives MUST rethink this before they too enter Public administration and find themsleves at the mercy of institutional groups who will rip us all off again.  The political protection rackets.
Richer than rich Shires and city centric  consultancies will be amongst your lots biggest contributors to dumming down/ silence/stifflying/inertia   in the planning and new development area.
You have no answers , If its news to you,  there is a balance between enough professional public servants and too many consultants; one that can greatly reduce the paper work overload and indecison / excusemaking BOTH parties are party to.
To ignore me here is to miss the point of history and your parties incompetent talk on HOW you would deal with this huge red tape overload problem.

Many of your side may laugh at the idea that "we don't do anything " but I have witnessed great garduates in the fields of energy ,entomology  soils , water, energy  and timber protection ( to name a few) squashed into stupid politically correct programs - resulting in the end of their careers in studying the subjects of their choice/ helping you blokes make better decisions quickly.

I think you will find that rural Victoria has very few scientists actually working in it , with a concentrataion of them in regional centres; Cities , the place where tthe management class increasingly reside .

While i am not going to spell out why the Victorian government should be spending money on careers , you only have to look at Labors love of the shovel brigade and their careless talk of mere  jobs., to see why our children are likely to reject the current protection politics of the moment . Our Kids are sreaming out for their righful place in engineering and listening to the environment http://designwithnatureblogspot.com
.I  don't hold out much hope for your lot if you don't start listening and talking to our children ,
The graffiiti on our manmade  walls ( symbolizing Labors lack of real creative work) will continue .
