Reading the wind - reaping the whirlwind

If there is one thing you need to learn from Labors disasterous polling on Saturday and labor’s dumber than dumber following of the ever shifting greens agendas:
If you stand with the superficial, you will soon lose your credibility- your right to govern will be taken from you because you refuse to listen to those who know what they are trained to do.

Your options ? Be green, but ditch the extremists and their wasteful distractions . Get back to the central issues of Environmental care- competence !

ever so predictable if you stop chanting and start listening

Major parties are just as "religious" as any. This helps explain why Labor now after losing so big ,will take a long time to really admit why they missed the opportunity to address the "issues of the day ".
As chief political adviser I don't give important advice to just anybody ,but if you are willing to explore, you 'll find much of labor's highly predictable failiure ( i wrote to goerge negus on the subject several weeks ago ) briefed out there - you really need to explore our teaching site for politicians. http://users.gsat.net.au/tuf
Like Jeff Kennett ten years ago coming from another blikered view of the world, Labor can expected be struggle to accept the fact their biggest handicap is political correctness. No time here to elaborate - that too would give the game away. There is, as Santayana said, no medicine like the truth to get in the way of a historic media strangehold on the story .

They must think we are stupid

Big party credibility - the loser
The big parties desperation to win votes is not only costing 16.2 billion ( AFR today ) ,its costing the parties their credibility.
Maybe they are getting as cynical as the media and the marginal grab fad sectors they play up to?
Doesn't really help the parties credibility either, to see prominent pictures of the Premier and his cabinet with lovely pictures of themselves and their promises in our regional papers---- and not one picture or story of some of the candidates.

No point in parliament if still don't listen or know

There is nothing worse than not being understood . the city doesn't really understand the rural situation .Its most obvious when you tell us what to do with things we have ben looking after .
This media driven ignorance makes the up coming election a farce because the country is worn out calling for a real one nation and a real rural voice. we no longer have the energy to fight. Maybe one day the city will be more aware of it !

After a while when the family leaders do not listen, its no talk and high depression. Until govt find a proper way to listen, they will promote depression in rural areas..... not reduce it .

Losers - the people, young people

Why is debate so little , so meagre . The majors seem to think everything is OK and only extreme groups need attention.
How can everything be OK when 4 million of our citizens, including many young people try to keep their lives going on less than the basic wage. How can we build family life without genuine full employment.

Winner - The Geelong Advertiser

Serious fun and good reporting
see Pollywaffle , extensive analysis of the greens failure to stop moving the goalposts around and substantially funny and extensive bits on the candidates . (This week) . Regional papers are ahead of the city dailies in talking about the issues and the new minor parties.

The great debate

What debate?

Whatever they say what they say gives it away

Neither the media nor the politicians really want to talk big picture .Taking about someone who supposedly lied years earlier is easier - the media are lost in family pettiness too . "Effective politics is supposed to be about pleasing the margins", the cynics in media will tell us . Yet the big media party are being pushed to talk more widely by certain new tiny minor party factors (and the reality amongst thinking people about the importance of the values discussion) to asking big picture questions .
The big guns in ABC will say the new minors are not important, but they will be talking about them and their issues for the next four weeks . -- I hope in a big way, for the sake of balance. We have no balance with the old parties; the weakness of the party who once stood to be strong and the parties who are are strong about different things at diffent times .These are the dysfunctional elements, unable to hold the balance - Time for some balance . Someone to bring the the extremists and the wishy washy chatter back to a reasonable noise level and a reasonble discussion about the main game .
About time . Go for it Family First

Losers

Labor low . Bringing up a story about someone lying about the time of the last election - "got to be a winner !"more like got a be a distraction and bit of projection . Who would vote for Labor when they throw stones into a pond so far away- really desperate and it shows.
