Fathery figures

Howard the Father once steered like a pilot,

While Albo the Grandpa just lets the kids riot.

If a real Father came, would we sell him or buy him?

Too strong a medicine? — don’t vote for more lie in.

The key to this moment in Australia's history is probably uncertainty
For the first time in a long time, we don't know what hope we can offer to our children

Can we offer them?
A less economically divided society .....Rich oldies,  poorer young ...The lack of a real leader threat
A means of keeping house  full time work creative work single income houses... cost of living threats
Creative work     The underemployment ...., lower wage take ....and ......migrants threats
A means of keeping warm and moving around  ........High cost energy threats
Economic futures confusion    Greenlabor offer limp jobs and trades in trees not careers in eco leadership

Both major parties are in deep trouble because they cannot be convincing about their ability to deal with the above issues.
Who would trust those emerging parties who see the problems, but have no eco advisers for solutions

More uncertainty threatens, just as it does right across the West .
Economy presses when a Ecological economic framing would greatly reduce the stresses.

The overly comfortable Libs are split but that's not all bad because there is within the conservatives who once found a home there an energy ( forget the many comfortable libs ) for
stronger medicine and tougher parenting.

I just hope the Conservatives  take seriously that no leader can really work in such a rich but threatened ecosystem without taking advice - expert economic  and ecological economic advice.

The current incumbents talk about toughness ,but the reality is they offer only tokens ; costing us our assets and profits that could be used productively.... instead of being thrown to the wind . Green labor - so heavenly minded they are of little earthly use (always said of the overly religious)

Some hope ?
The one enemy of our age we can deal with,  if we stop lying about, is poor parenting and throwing our savings into ineffective tokens

Albanese runs a team of too dull too easy

Just a brief reflection ( now that the election result is clear ) FOR all of those of us who, now this weekend , deeply grieve at the lost opportunities to build an Australia we are proud of.

I personally grieve that stupid blinkered guilt ridden, self centred and scientifically and otherwise ignorant Australians, as some of the most wealthy in the world, will continue to waste the opportunities they had to build and strengthen our children's future.

Visiting the people of eastern Europe over the last month has been very sobering for me for many reasons but in particular because, I can see not only in their current and long past land and work life struggles, the killing effects of an idealism that is only half baked . Australians as a whole at the moment, clearly can't.
Australians clearly cannot see that their governments huge investments in real world problem solving are tokenistic and temporary.
Perhaps thats what the rich have always done, but it doesn't make watching it happen in our free democracy easy.

I hate my generation for investing badly in guilt assuaging measures that do not, as Spain has shown this week, do anything to help us better manage our always limited resources.
Vigilance is always the key to true freedom and visiting Europe at this moment is a very sobering reminder of that of what we currently lack on our own island.

It's been my job to understand and care about what really works in resource management, but who really cares to build Australia as a place where careers and lives are built on the solid stuff of that!!!!

Republicans win -

 Why was the result such a surprise to those who like to think of themselves as" intellectual and progressives";
Are the people fickle and was the main reason the cost of living?
Yes but it's also about unconvincing chatter and scare campaigns by those who have NO Life experience and no practical science engagement to know why their biggest worry ( Global warming) changed to something that tries to take all ( Climate change ) means nothing but Ur saying nothing  - completely unprovable ( CO2 role in air temp )

Soon it will not be safe (scientifically) for anyone to safely talk about CO2 even though twits like Bowen and Greens may think they will.

SUMMARY
Because the comfortable elites (cheque in the mail every fortnight) have stopped listening and still run stupid and no longer relevant old Marxist prejudices and HYPOCRISY about whose rich and whose poor and why .

The right and left divide is the lefts myth that has been exploded TODAY .
The democrats and Leftists have nothing to say and their incompetence and distraction by the Greens and old rich class hate comes to the fore.

Today's result in the USA is IMO a welcome victory for higher productivity and less sentimentality. A victory for hardworking people ( eg Regional )and less support for comfortable dependants . (eg Cities )
But such basic and responsible wins are hard to get because the ignorant idealists effectively hold power and force vote seeking nonsense TALK and PROMISES by big party leaders. ( eg less than 1% of population are farmers )
We in Australia need to note one reason why most Western Democracies are vulnerable to weird thinking idealism--- One vote one value seems fair . but makes popular chatter and the voice of the dependants the deciding factor.

Having said all that there is always a risk that poor and powerless will suffer if another rich group now get comfortable. We have some tough eco issues that require hard edges discomfort and real precision in decision. As a regional person who knows how much the public purse chasers get, I suggest anyone who gets a regular cheque ( incl from shares ) recognize who really are the poor. Time to rid ourselves of old prejudices about poor workers /unionists and the terrible nature of big business owners when they are shareholders with regular income . SOME MORE SOBER STUFF just in case you think I am far right , I am with SOLZ in saying that The West still does NOT YET have the courage and is too comfortable to properly look after its children. The Speech That Cost Solzhenitsyn Everything | Harvard Commencement Address 1978 (youtube.com) POSITIVES This new team will have the chance to not follow the idealists in their ignorant doctrines and scare campaigns that are anti science,

Danger of all dangers

Neitzsche said the danger of all dangers is that the herd mentality of those who cannot bring themselves to say what success is,  will continue to pull down those who do.

The public service and those who are dependent on them are nearly a majority

Should we trust them? Are we getting a good return for all that taxing?
Young people in Australia are , since 2008 ( when there was no Commonwealth debt )  bearing our debt to the tune of $15000 per person) , Hidden behind that growing lack of productivity are lack of careers in science.
What a terrible legacy we leave to our children.

Do the Government need more things to fail in?

The majority are not always right
and when civilization is under threat ( a complex matter of truth) the comfortable collective may not be willing to face why we got here and how and where we should move to .
The risk of the sheep jumping at shadows ( from all sides) is exacerbated in our era by screen addiction adding to the insecurity and mad jumping around of the desperate and dying old media machines.
Our taxes are more than ever lost to last causes ( Something a range of thinking scientists and observers Above named Whitehead Ellul noted

As an ecosystem resilience advisor, I have a lot to add to the completely unstable assertions about conservation imperatives from all sides , but such matters require precision and a willingness to listen , not to the many wannabes , but those competent to prosecute sustainability ONLY. Another time and place.

Trump or no ?
There are things I don't like about Trump but his team of supporters have competence on their side . The incumbents have only decades of incompetence driving them still.
The greatest evil is done in the name of the best intention and only the positivity that comes from precision in decision will help us all in the West move forward.

Some examples

Dr. Phil Just Risked It All With a Surprising Speech in Support of Donald Trump

He basically just called the Democratic Party a bunch of bullies because they ruin people's careers and shame them to oblivion if they dare support Donald Trump. Now, he's giving the bully party a big middle finger and throwing his support for Trump. “I'm not here just to stand up for Donald J. Trump. Lord knows he doesn't need me to stand up for him. He's tough as an old army boot. He's got lots of enemies, different groups that are scared. And between them, they have impeached him, indicted him, raided him, railroaded him, shot him, and sued him. And where is he? He is still standing. He just keeps on because he loves this country, too.”

Something very empty and reactionary in the Labor leadership ?

 Queensland election 26th October 2024

Steven Miles didn't win but he still makes out his free lunch idea will create a great leap forward in education. Sure works a treat sometimes with some people. Daniel Andrews will always be fighting the image of his term as fear driven and his contribution as more about ruling by law rather than by education, Respect for me and what I know and not the minds of them who voted to trust me.
What is going on inside their heads "I don't trust you cause , perhaps I don't trust myself? "

How can anyone trust those who condemn and attack another leaders character , unless they have
nothing else to say . Miles ( like Bowen ) tries to talk empty budget in the opposition but the emptiness was closer to home. Miles couldn't bring himself to honor achievement ( past ) and made the pathetic attempt to tick something unfulfilled , unframed and full of mystery of his own that he says he WOULD HAVE done in the future.

How can a leader whose going out , not focus on substance ( of his term and by all parties) unless he is unsure of that substance.

Nietzsche said the danger of all dangers is that the herd mentality of those who cannot bring themselves to say what success is, will continue to pull down those who do.

If not Economics , certainly Ecology

This post is inspired by  A press Club discussion headed by Colin Barnett and Saul Eslake. Well done to both of them and Laura and The Press Club  for hosting .

Their thoughtful recommendations to set GST transfers in some sort of concrete appears very grounded.

Especially when you look at the idiotic hoop jumping most small taxpayers and empires of bureaus create. If young people are to contribute to this great country, they must not think their houses are the key to prosperity as we seem to.
Saul's gibes (banning timber harvesting )  and Colins counter jibe (no pokies in WA) aside,  the  issue of funding  health and  education need the independence ( to create true resilience education instead of half baked education at our bereft universities )

The key point is , while both the guests know a lot about economic realities and prosperity and in Colins case ---real empire building ambitions  few sitting in seats have any idea how to make all the Talk of the BIGGER PICTURE in ECOLOGY  happen.

It's about real risk  EDUCATION and not the token and guilt ridden obfuscation (and fear of complex natural forces)  of the media simples stories.

ECONOMISTS  don't know everything  and cooperation and risk taking without too much government education and science in practice ( with ALL environment  questions ) is the key-----ECOLOGY

Why no thinking Australian should support the minorities who currently control the agendas .

While the ignorant and arrogant Greens and wannabes control our electoral system, our politicians will talk to their childish halfbaked rubbish and spend money to try and control things like hot air.

Who is the idiot here ? The city or the country? The progressives or the practical ?

Are the people of Australia really racist ?  I would say with Jacinta clearly not , but others will keep wondering  The real people  have just rejected  letting any one culture ,voice or race  have an unequal voice and they were right to do so . Why progressives let themsleves be conned by 65000 years of history is clear -- they didn't study it or culture properly but relied on some shallow form of naturally led blessing .
The future is with science and sound practice informed by culture , not the other way around.

Last night the people rejected a man who thought he was doing the right thing to honor a wonderful woman who was doing the right thing .
Lets hope this woman continues to inspire us and the world and resist the nonsense of good intentions  being forced into our already overloaded listening system.
As Jacinta said , This is indeed a great country and we as a people are pleased that our democracy is practically supportive ( and not theoretical) of an equal voice for all .

I hope free people everywhere  will rejoice with us .

Progressives will take a while to absorb the referendum result . They need to look closely at why their faith in culturally constructed truths is really moribund and inadequate for our kids future .

They may never realize the fact that the elites insisted on a change in the listening system which was a result of them NOT listening and a faith in the mythical magic idea of change in laws to make men better . This last attitude was for a time in Western history left in the dark past and hopefully will go back there.
The changes proposed by the government were as shallow as shit and the people rejected them .

The boy used words "we ,they "+ made it all sound like what he decided was about the will+generosity of the people. But really, it was all about him. Legacy of just another man who can't see how he justifies great evil in the name of the best intention.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE , and its causes goes unreported on OUR ABC

Presumably because it's not PC to say so ........ even on the ABC   (see in particular the claims of Jacinta Price and those who have observed major causal elements inside aboriginal communities where traditional culture is observed -- as far back as 1880; see below )

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE  goes UNREPORTED  and totally MISUNDERSTOOD

Today is the day of the referendum and "progressives' all around the country cannot believe that their fellow Australians can be so racist ( or at least appear to be )
This false perception goes to the heart of the angst and blind sidedness of our generation . Progressives, having largely proven to prove nothing, are not sure about our culture,  but we switch channels and say  we think 60000 years might have taught the first people's something .

Fair enough , but to vote for a constitutional change means our forebears got something wrong  which is where our ABC could have been helpful..
Not everything is wrong .
Where was the constitution wrong? No.  It seems to me the clause removed in 67 was a neccesary adjustment and the idea of institutional 'non recognition"  was a misunderstanding and   a category error. not a helpful one but one that simply happens as Boswick found , becuase you can't actually locate all the aboriginal people and the decision had been made to try ( right or not) to protect them .( before even 1850 when only handfuls of europeans set up little towns like Colac Warnambool and Port Fairy  ( Boswick's most detailed account of numbers , agriculture,  and conflict in 1857. My impression from Boswicks very comapssionate reporting is that just then ,as now, we steel and wheel merchants didn't really know how to help the first peoples, who were just overwhelmed by the cultural differences .

So this lie has become a bigger one in the hands of those who want more power and opportunity to promote their own righteousness. Sure there is hurt injustice and plain takeover but what human community is free of those injustices ,even from our own ? I can make a list only 3 recent generations long . Are we ever going to forgive as we have been taught to do for our own good, even though we can't always forget ?????
Like children, the country follows the child Whitlam,  Andrews, Turnbull and Albo into solving a problem that wasn't there but was an action, maybe m  built on a mix of real care and also despair and some guilt.( still not OUR guilt as some post or pre Christians would have it !!!!)
All that doesn't mean the children presume to have answers, and that the quick fix of a bit of law and statute (constitutional) is really going to help things.

The West's best answer to injustice heaped upon one has always been counterintuitive ( not revengeful as our bodies tempt us ): Overcome evil with good.

  .

If we ever do rewrite the constitution , which might not be a bad thing.
we could do what Washington and others did and said in the USA
"Under God we are all equal and in this land it is incumbent on the government to prove it so before the law . "
We wouldn't be , as Albo the god like master of ceremonies TODAY be singling out one race for special privileges and him for special note as Pa.
A real progress historian scientist  would go sifting the good from the bad ; the sustainable from the unsustainable . no such attempt by our publicly funded truth seeking journos . That is bad .

  1. The ABC could have asked or just reported Bonwick  - yes the first peoples were counted even in 1857
Next question

  1. Can we learn anything about land use . yes we can and yes we can be very critical of industarail methods and eco thinking which was wrong for land use here .Bruce Pascoe and Bill Gammage  butchered the prospects of a proper scinetific review - still needed .
No we must support ALL cultures as Niebuhr called for it ----- to be subject to revision , The closer scrutiny not just of time, but genuine independant scientific , philosophic and historical scrutiny  - sustainability
  1. Were the first peoples harsh in their treatment of each other and were they stuck?
like some moderns  whose in faith in Nature , which in the dark of the days night gave them, as it does now us , as excuse to be brutal ( read White again on children and mothers )

The ABC 's failure to properly follow up on Jacintas Price's point that if The VOICE of some tribes is listened to, the domestic violence on remote women and children can be expected to increase.  ( read J,. Smiths  account  of  Booandik Tribe 1880 )

note  her detailed descriptions of aboriginal marriage practice and the common suicide of mothers and killing of babies
. pages 4-7
If culture is worshiped again then cruel nature will again rule because men will use it as a licence .

Time for the ABC to properly and fiercely study how domestic violence can be so easily prosecuted by men who get their own way with women --  Add this to an honest account of the history of modern west and their menfolk as well

The West's best answer to injustice heaped upon one has always been counterintuitive ( not revengeful as our bodies tempt us): Overcome evil with good.

Apart from the intro and this ending, this note was posted before the result was known (extra note made 8pm 14th Oct)

Aside added 28th Oct 2023

While the beaten wife may not get a technical quick fix to domestic violence by the above complex truth ,( overcoming evil with good )  (that is by SIMPLY allowing her partner to beat her --thats not a thoughtful response to a man ouuta control)  we all have to bear in marriage and family the assaults and insults from our partners who don't always understand or agree with us .It makes us all angry from time to time and IMO we must all face the complex truth about anger being both helpful AND dangerous.

As Western law and culture clearly indicates if you are going to PREVENT and TREAT violence ( and deal with anger for example -  an adrenalin response?)  you have to accept that VERBAL ASSAULT is as bad as PHYSICAL assault . Sometime I know as someone who has worked with unhappy alcoholics,  that the only preventative defence you often have  is to run away . Noradrenaline too works that way  by allowing time , distance and some return to reason to play  their part.in the face of the wild emotional dangers from anger and adrenalin

Unreliable POSITION and NEWS reporting IS WORSE THAN PARTY POLITICS .

Our ABC used to be good at lots of things .
Its now at its worst in areas where it thinks it is good at ; where self righteousness has taken over  from thorough examination.  Where it thinks its doing science but its doing no such thing.
The windows are closed on so many areas " ABC is closing comments on this item ' is all over their Netspace and is very indicative . They identify fear so often but allow the fearless to be broadcast too seldom . Such re

Areas where ABC esp ABCTV  now fails badly
NEWS
There are a few of my old friends clinging to the ship, but not many. The mood is one of " we really don't know wwho to trust anymore ". The trouble is the ABC know how how to be nice and have the budget to fact check and remodel the background at a moments notice . What's missing is the unpredictable world outside the closet
Limpets are gradually dropping off and there is no glue or incentive to bring them back.
The glue of respect for really listening that we treasured  in early 3LO presenters has largely gone .
The time when the ABC just reported what happened and what the participants and observers said has long gone too.
Reporters add adjectives and commentary so when you listen you never quite know WHO you are listening too .
The Eldership at the ABC is, like the peer review of their practical non-science, missing  .
It should ALL be culled .
Time the public knew that our ABC have been run for decades by inexperienced  reactionaries  who should have passed the baton on to someone who has some real knowledge, confession and experience.
Phillip Adams being in hiding for years, but unlike the others,  is so thick skinned he thinks he has something to add to his never ending opening and closing of doors on VOICES.
The ABC has cultivated the sickening greeting on departure " Moving on: they say when the guest starts telling us something new" .
The Australian by contrast makes a good read -- this weekend.

The proposed changes to the Australian constitution ( THE VOICE ) on October 14th will fail

For lots of reasons which show in particular that you cannot get agreement without telling those who sign up exactly what they are committing to. Only a wooly-headed leader could allow the committee to get what it wanted without taking it to the public - What should have happened is like happened to the 30 pager in 1901 with years of consultation over ' the words " .

A bigger rat has never been sighted.
The biggest surprise on the week B4 is the Yes campaign's revelation of their poor understanding of how people think and how to treat their minds and hearts with respect.
This is what ALBO did today 6th October when he carelessly dismissed the right of religious ( esp Christian) group members to not agree with their leaders,
This is not a dictatorship yet.
If only the Church and State could control those pesky rebels known as Jesus people .2000 years of history of a radicalism that, while somewhat predictable in some ways ,  is far less predictable politically and much more fearless than any power broker could imagine if there is conflict between what the books say and any Institution says.

Our Prime Minister and the media made a totally false and foolish claim today. They said " all churches"  support the VOICE changes to the Constitution. Neither a church or a State can dictate what a believer believes.

Read this State cancelled radio broadcast made in 1933 ( 6 years before WW 2 started )

https://www.stmichaelsarlington.org/uploads/files/1933-radio-addressdocx_142.pdf

The paradox for a believer is that all this unbeliever focus on more power and more voice  ignores the reality that man's power is always limited ( even a tyrant 0 and is dependent on God letting such persons have it for a while , Far more powerful to let your VOICE be heard by your Saviour and Creator and Redeemer .

Referendum Focus 3 - What can aboriginal culture teach us about how to better plan land use .?

Western Australia  is in the news for including aboriginal consultant groups in the planning system.
POSITIVE
The aboriginal focus on getting place driven consensus is very welcome, but even that focus will not work if the rest of Australia don't change the planning system away from its current drowning in consultant advice and referrals.  See recent discussion about fire at the Royal Society of Victoria .

NEGATIVE
I am not going to spell out a proper consultancy framework because effective change will take a revolution in thinking and representation in the bush . The system is falling over but more  outrage at poor representation ( eg medical  and health care ) in the provinces is needed before any proper care and consideration is given by Canberra .
see other posts on this site

Pollie's are often followers . not leaders so don't give the real desperate dummies any leads

POSITIVES

There is still much to learn about how first peoples used land fire and resources  but our children will better off ( as our" Modern Australia" you mention, is" ) IF   ALL decisions and long winded discussions  are based on much advice from a range of advisors . This  slow process was stated below ( tiles on the floor of the Victorian parliament) by our first Governor who, like us , was finally pretty disgusted about how his own Englishmen behaved.

Let's be agreed then, You make your list,  I will make mine and others will add good and bad to theirs .

BUT let us all remember,  as the disagreement between Bruce Pascoe and scientists  on Dark Emu program on the ABC showed recently , we already have a good system for sorting out scientifically verifiable solutions without insisting that one voice is more important or wiser than another.

Bruce Pascoe  and Bill Gammage's books . like the above program on ABC , would be  a hundred time better if scientists and observers were involved in sorting out the speculation from the actual facts., well before it went to air and got oxygen .

For our children's sake,  let's insist the do-gooders ,and other often ignorant insistent's ( including the mad media) have done their consultations before they just make more noise .

FINALLY
Ask me personally is fine   SO , If you are a young person and are interested, you can probably help the revolution in returning power to the Provinces.

Bookmark  the site or others like Facebook site " Representing South West Victoria "

Referendum Focus 2 - What Western Australia's move says about the parlous state of planning in Australia?

If you read nothing more ---watch Rob Sitchs UTOPIA.

If you think that is bad, try and imagine the mess polys have made of environmental planning . I won't go into the history just now because it varies from State to State  .
The whole mess has been precipitated by the ignorant greens , the compliant left and the arrogant and defensive right.
You maybe the only smart person on line who listens .
Just a note for now a post I made this week

"As a former rural planner and planning coordinator  in the State of Victoria

its very clear that WA and MOST rural Councils do not know what they are doing.

Inertia, incompetence , irresponsibility and stupidity characterize the current planning system as UTOPIA ABC shows .

The current incumbents  just go along with this madness in burdening the contorted planning system and its unresolved same old same old death traps for innovators and legally compliant types .

These well intentioned half wits in charge , do not realize that by just accepting new overlay constraints and all these consultants ,,they are the instruments of unnecessary and very costly torture and basic disintegrated incompetence and worry .
The system wants to know everything but can't then decide anything .This not need be so -but I am not telling you now because polys use answers to win elections - not implement the needed change. See talk of revolution below  .

Planning for first peoples relics and sacred sites/issues shouldn't be so difficult (or framed in the dustheap system on the present ones ) :

These half wits  talk of red tape reduction when its them that are unnecessarily shedding the blood of hard working producers .

These changes will breed the latest non compus Mentus lot of bureaucrarts and representative's who have NO Future ,

How much longer before the opposition realize that ABC UTOPIA is talking about complete incompetence and disrespect for productive planning .

STOP BEING SUCH A BUNCH OF POOR LISTENERS !

You could win votes by actually listening to people who know better ways to DO things !

Referendum Focus 1 - How has aboriginal culture benefited modern Australia?

How has aboriginal culture benefited modern Australia?

The question is a very valid one, but it is not helpful to make too much of it at this referendum.

The question is also very relevant to 2020's because the media have finally given some oxygen to those whose actual practices have much to teach us about proper footprint on this old country.
Modern Agriculture as practiced , still has a lot to learn about how to use the earth better and that truth applies to Agricultural practice  the world over ,

So why am I against the current amendment?

First off, we have to have solid and sound reasons to change our constitution; and weighing up cost benefit is like passing our life decisions into the hands of accountants or lawyers -- its like taking ourselves back to the dark ages; Where revenge was accepted practice and the tough but blessed stuff of forgiveness was NOT .
Second ,I am against the current amendment because the future will soon burn up a deal of old and poor land management practice with no race having  a completely sound culture of land use that is beyond examination .

Objective science is the key to the future and we desperately need to stop making it political

Thirdly, what the Insistent's  in charge do not realize is that good land management is usually not about their favorite subject of naming the evil but managing the evil" ( eg managing the harvest planting --logging , cropping )  Give the job of deciding what is right to objective local and accountable scientists;

The best reason to reject this hastily drafted current amendment is because it directly threatens a key principle of our unity .

At the very basis of our unity as Aussies is a faith in the value of all persons - not what they do and what they have done,, or even what they did in the past .

The last idea is then the best reason to reject the proposed amendment because to value people ( and their opinion) because of their productivity or righteous behavior or righteousness is plain wrong.

As an effective and practical ecologist of influence, I seek and value the first peoples reminder that the Europeans blindly used land management techniques that were not only not appropriate or scientific, but which ignore and can still ignore the sensitive ways first peoples used land.

European ways must not be dismissed though , because scientific research can ( and have )show/ shown us new ways to be sensitive and better custodians than all previous cultures have been . This is the positive way forward for all Aussies.

http://cuttingedgecare.blogspot.com

There is still much to learn about how first peoples used land fire and resources but our children will better off ( as our" Modern Australia" you mention, is" ) IF ALL decisions and long winded discussions are based on much advice from a range of advisors . This slow process was stated below ( tiles on the floor of the Victorian parliament) by our first Governor who, like us , was always fighting English Lords and was always disgusted about how many of his own English gentry behaved.

Using all the cunning of a dagger

Albo seems like quite a nice guy, Machiavelli might have chosen him had he lived in the age of puppet kings , but he didn't  . In his time  there was no time to play with public sentiment and the empty vestiges of a post Christian culture like pollies do now --- weak liberals and weak labor and woke everyone .Most of the people have no idea what the commandments mean and how good they are for us and for keeping some order

You see we are back to a Godless time like his  ( then too :- a facade of Catholicism which with  no  Christlikeness is a recipe for self righteous hidden daggers and judgement but totally undeserved honor for it survives on survival instincts  ) In M's time  there was this same facade of " doing right" but in practice there was , like then , no idea of what VIRTUE really was and therefore zero commitment to it -- it's ALL about staying in power . That publicly welcome facade of righteousness really helps in our overly sentimental age - ask the Premiers  about just how easy they drew a crowd with all their "caring concern "through COVID ,
You see, words, not mere majorities ,do carry weight, but actions (and inaction )  speak far louder again .
Emotion , as Machiavelli notes and as Greenlabor lives on,  carries more weight that the mere GREAT of the GREAT will ever  do . Emotion has the power to draw the crowd ; the GREAT are only ever few .
Albo  cries a lot ,but hangs around with the popular ones in a vain attempt to be more popular .  He and his string pulling advisors want to make his very shaky coalition look like something united . Its so laughable ,it should make the country cry. I am sure plenty of the left bench just wanna hide at the moment . We are certainly paying for it . It is never going to be easy under the facile weight of an emotion driven Albanese.

Come on people , no more sentimentality and self righteous crap from the top . It stinks and the years ahead will cost us and leave us out in the cold ---with only once nice thoughts .

Read some Machiavelli and return to reality . Forget being just nice !
After all, the daggers are already out , if the demons  can't cancel the real coalition of the country they will try and cancel the individual , Dutton . Morrison , Abbott and Lehrman,
Greenlabor are at great pains to look good on the surface putting Plibersek behind Watts and that man who can't stop smiling on the front page : he is finally in charge of all our money -Is he not the ultimate idiot ? He thinks because there is money in the bank he and his party can still play God with it.

Get real you pathetic wasters of public money, and time, Ditch with Sitch your hypocritical talk of knowing what you are doing , your shallow talk of mandates and your fight for moral high ground ( Paul Kelly in this weekend's Australian )-- so muddy is the high ground that its not clear where it is.

TAKE THIS HALF BAKED VOICE CASE referendum
Readers will find the Trojan horse in the words "composition , functions, powers and procedures "2B written for eternity by http://greenlabor.blogspot.com

Even Grayling and most of England is against the way dumb pollies assume a mandate from a referendum ( eg Brexit ) .And how the people are learning to hate major parties doing MAINLY what tiny minorities want them to do .....in the once good name of democracy

The mad scramble to be heard

Albanese won't be the last leader to be confused and confuse himself with his own confused and shallow chatter.
He won't be the last leader of a household to just let his household do what they feel like.
By getting into power with the help of minorities he doesn't have a mandate to do anything .( His dumb mate Watts uses the same mandate nonsense saying he has " a mandate"   to ban the live sheep trade and deny our sheep a happy cruise home) Albo doesn't have a policy on CC  just a number (43%)  Its sounds good and maybe that;s all that matters for his household.
By doing what those minorities want he has shown he is weak as piss .
Like some weak parent he lets his household do what they feel like.
Case 3
Letting one group get more time power and influence THE VOICE

If Albo's colleagues had any competency, they would have told him that allowing the constitutional amendments to go out as they did would finally destroy any idea he ( and they ) really had any right to govern.
Any reasonable reading of history would show these dummies that our prize in having any voice at all comes at great cost to us all .

Instead of all the theory and law talk about VOICES , we should also look back to the formative days ( 1650s 1790's ) when armies starved and the countries of England and USA nearly failed to do any listening at all. Listening is hard and costly work, so it must be done efficiently if it is to work at all .

Greenlabor , for all their good intentions, risk destroying our democracy - simply by making it unworkable .
Just like in George Washington and HAMILTONs time, there is the real and present danger from just more anger/ noise , ego and overly simple good intentions.

We need as, George called for from Jefferson and Hamilton - something that will work for the good of everyone. We provincials may now be in a minority, but we will lead the fight (against bullying minorities ) for unheard minorities everywhere , and for the good of the country overall . fair dealing on THE VOICE

The left have nothing to be proud of

Tonights result in The State Election is no surprise.

I didn't campaign this year after giving weeks in decades before. This trend has been coming for decades .
We conservatives and producers in the country have been losing our seats for decades simply because we are a dying breed ; even rural areas accumulate people retiring from the city.
The left should not assume they are doing anything right because the cityites control the parliament by numbers . Until the hippocket hurts there is not enough pain to get even resistance to the incumbents.

Everyone out West clearly wants Dan and his panic merchant wastrels to go .

We only hope the city see through his dancing and prancing in the name of his own brilliance - including his recent mad trinkets to pay for his mistakes. We all know the health and police department situation needs, like his Cabinet, to go .
It 's mid November 2022(20th) and very few farmers in SW Australia have made hay or even silage.
.
The weekly deluges highlight the very poor drainage of most of our soils and the impact of soil drainage and sun on slowing growth in springs like these. Farmers and cows can't get onto paddocks because they will get bogged.
Our dams are full right across the SW of Australia with reservoirs like Dartmouth and the Thompson ( drought storages ) overflowing. It takes that rare time when soils are wet for the very rare flows in rivers. Noone is sure where Flannery and the ABC's worry brigade are when reality strikes BUt This is Australia Mate ; we know it and it doesn't drive us into panic mode like it does you.
Most of Western Europe has better drained soils than ours. In the land of droughts and flooding rains, you get the mower out when it's still raining and even then you run high risks of losing it.
So much so that many farmers would leave hay making till this time of year when the weather was better , but the grasses had gone to seed and the feed quality poor.
The only places I have seen with the bales done in our long trip through NSW and Victoria have been in well drained soils of Dune limestone in Warnambool ( picture here ) and a few places up near Mansfield .
Those of us who have ever made hay in Australia know that the English expression " Make hay while the sun shines " is inadequate .This is Hopkins falls on 18th.

Welcome to another nightmare - Parliaments in a panic

We probably agree that there is not much choice in the Opposition to getting rid of the comfortable left in Victoria on November 26th 2022 .
We can first off ditch the lazy self centered persons in the Upper House who have got what they wanted and neglected what the country needed .
I wrote to both about local issues and got no replies ; Stuart Hanley and Andy Meddick
However,  let me remind you of my experience repeated through the years.

"The thing I hate most about what many in the upper seats of parliament do is they get what they want by agreeing to allow foolish  ignorant fanatical tyrants to jail us up for years based on their joint ignorant fear based helicopter style of parenting and environmental control.
They all know nothing and should be take off the payroll

Enjoying the finest moments of Monarchy

Surely this cartoon says it all...... or does it?
While most young people of a certain age are in fits of depression over what they see as the blind sheep of persons of a certain age making trite statements about " how wonderful the Queen is " (Elizabeth died this week).....
some of us are really enjoying what Monarchies can do that republics can't .

What modified monarchies like ours can do to go beyond and above the crass political games and model the really great objective of really listening ( as Elizabeth did )is before each day and year. the commonwealth games, speeches to the nations in times of stress  etc

The Crown models not only the idea but also the reality of Crown land and its place of refuge, freedom and recreation for all people , let alone the idea and wonder of a  job in the service of the public.( don't knock it)

And that's not all.  The simple personal act of dedicating your life to a life of service is a living tangible testimony to the person the Queen and many of our famous and respected forefathers followed. and what a great job it can be -- not at the mercy of a contract from the rich ( don't knock it !!!)
And if want to be the depressing cynic  and  focus on some bad thing monarchies  do, think of all the great modeling she got from her parents " The Kings' Speech "

I don't see the value here in going on about it because of all the adult children in my world who have never grown up to honor their parents as they were taught to do. Honor not obedience is the command meaning we can disagree with someone n Authority  ( like our parents, teachers and the law) and still enjoy them and honor them for focusing well .
What a mess we make of our own lives if we can't honor people or we have to " make them in the image of perfect " .

The rules are there for our own good - let's encourage our children to know them .
To see in the stories of our kings Queens families like our own that are fractured  but living in the scrutiny of others --   no wonder we pray for them to be strong !

That doesn't make it any easier to listen to some sycophntics waxing lyrical overthe length of the cue of mourners and everything these people did

The implications of Post Christian thinking on the talk of Republic as an alternative

The accurate answer is , as was said below, is that thinking Christians know neither Monarchy or Republic is perfect. This means most of us can cope with both forms of governance.

After all there is no wind in the sails of Turnbull and  the "new republic" movement . We are already a republic .Turnbull should take the "takes one to know one advice"; his  images of  childish  can be turned  around to be examples of a child who has never grown up  to honor and accept  his own weakness ----- and others

HISTORY ( another reason why Christians will keep abandoning state schools while they fail to get excited about history )

You see it was true believers in England who brought the many mad KINGS and QUEENS , church bureaucrats into line ....... with Laws and ideas of freedom that have worked  for 500 years.  Its not automatic evolution per see in the future that we should look to the future  but to use our minds to study the changes and make sure the next moves are mindful not business like etc.quickfiz

(What we can't cope with is the Australians Lefts blind spot about the unfairness they keep imposing on regional areas with their mad simplicities about heaven coming from one vote one value see below ).
