ABC is again leading us where they want us to go

Our independent news service the ABC  is on a death wish ? 

Only yesterday the Sydney club of the ABC  are still getting fanatical in finding only the facts that suit a particular party view of what we need to know and believe.  

Half the news was about extreme weather events 

 ABC news from Sydney tonight featured  

--Photos of people swimming, and saying without  quoting exactly how  " hundreds of people have died during the current heat wave in Europe", If our servants for truth want to retain their jobs  they must quote a scientific specialist in such reports. 
The parliament must for the sake of our people and children insist in review and sackings within the ABC. 

-- The report on the recent filling of Lake Eyre is just a totally inadequate justification for the headline of " extreme weather "

New leaders all the time. Changing issues or just growing incompetence

What is it ? they promise too much and therefore are weak popular puppets or are the people just fickle and unwilling to take the medicine?
Sky news guests suggest the situation is also driven by a reality check that Labor is impotent - just as One Nations growth is here is driven by a growing gap between talk and action.

UK commentators on that news channel mentioned are clear that even if the new leader knew what to do , he would be constrained, like the Victorian government will be in 2027, by huge debts of the dreamers making. http://thestockade.blogspot.com

Is our ABC on a suicidal mission too?

 
I am not one to dismiss the idea of a public broadcaster but as Gad Saad has said , the reactionaries in the West ( who still hang onto power in many places) have lost their way .
 The only thing they have kept from the robust and sustainable Christian Heritage  is an empty wishy washy understanding of love ( or something to offer the gods) -mere empathy. 
And of course mere empathy is not working ; its actually draining the life blood out of the West. 

My letter to ABC Australia today 

About time you all accepted you are not accepted as independent and broad canvassing sources . You need much more than top changes ; a culture change that rids yourself of the failed science classes in particular . Otherwise it's just more arrogance ignorance, false reactionary and defensive fanaticism . You are dumbing down good science discussions and it is time you stopped it . 

What's really behind the facade

I like the passion of many of the people involved, but as always, who in their associations is going to steer that to effective discipline of the ecological economy. All hands to better policy, but who is going to drive it and be convincing down the track?

We are in economic ruin and while the retreat from net zero will help free up the place from much waste, nothing can help us if we keep indulging in quick fix reaction to adverse pressures. (eg lack of good work and housing which can be addressed by good policy

We went to air yesterday , not because I wanted to be political on our program of personal stories , but because One Nation has had a historic and largely unexpected win in the rural electorate of Farrer  alongside the northern edge of the Murray River.








Somehow, despite my doubts and fears about the general incompetence of those who go into Parliament,   I hope that the new personalities who are supporting One nation can break through the empty facades of the major parties.
When things are really crook as Brecht said , change comes in strange faces. 
Hanson Trump and Farage are indeed strange faces. 
And their popularity doesn't come from just the positivity and good intention in their passions, Infact all three seem to be reacting to our dissatisfaction with our way of life and the way it seems to be threatened by new migrants. Shallow reactions never solve anything. 
Those shallow reactionary drivers must make thinking people cautious because we want people to govern who can see past the shallow reactions of the desperate ( the well off majority ??) . 
 

We live in  strange times in the West where the dissatisfaction  we all feel ( especially with the real threat of higher prices for fuel in particular) seems to be transferred,  not to something positive directly but built up in  reaction to the huge incompetence and waste of the major parties ; parallels our indulgent waste of liquid fuels in particular. 
There is a lot of hypocrisy hidden away by my privileged generation. Some bad news is required before the good news it seems.

My only reason for starting this blog and being on air is if we can get people who will listen closely to the ecological economy to improve the countries prospects for our children. 


The One Nation victory is clearly to do with having strong personal ambitions for good and  a strong sense that the personalities in the major parties have no hope . While it's very tempting to welcome the good intentions,  the real challenge is to make sure the ruling parties cut through the half truths that most facades demonstrate.  There are plenty of areas for genuine hope in our rich country . All new leaders must chase the competent

The key to this moment in Australia's history is probably uncertainty 
For the first time in a long time, we don't know what hope we can offer to our children 

Can we offer them?
A less economically divided society .....Rich oldies,  poorer young ...The lack of a real leader threat 
A means of keeping house  full time work creative work single income houses... cost of living threats
Creative work     The underemployment ...., lower wage take ....and ......migrants threats 
A means of keeping warm and moving around  ........High cost energy threats 
Economic futures confusion    Greenlabor offer limp jobs and trades in trees not careers in eco leadership   

Both major parties are in deep trouble because they cannot be convincing about their ability to deal with the above issues.
Who would trust those emerging parties who see the problems, but have no eco advisers for solutions 

More uncertainty threatens, just as it does right across the West .
Economy presses when a Ecological economic framing would greatly reduce the stresses.

The overly comfortable Libs are split but that's not all bad because there is within the conservatives who once found a home there an energy ( forget the many comfortable libs ) for 
stronger medicine and tougher parenting.   

 I just hope the Conservatives  take seriously that no leader can really work in such a rich but threatened ecosystem without taking advice - expert economic  and ecological economic advice.

The current incumbents talk about toughness ,but the reality is they offer only tokens ; costing us our assets and profits that could be used productively.... instead of being thrown to the wind . Green labor - so heavenly minded they are of little earthly use (always said of the overly religious) 


Some hope ?
The one enemy of our age we can deal with,  if we stop lying about, is poor parenting and throwing our savings into ineffective tokens
