Fathery figures

Howard the Father once steered like a pilot,

While Albo the Grandpa just lets the kids riot.

If a real Father came, would we sell him or buy him?

Too strong a medicine? — don’t vote for more lie in.

The key to this moment in Australia's history is probably uncertainty
For the first time in a long time, we don't know what hope we can offer to our children

Can we offer them?
A less economically divided society .....Rich oldies,  poorer young ...The lack of a real leader threat
A means of keeping house  full time work creative work single income houses... cost of living threats
Creative work     The underemployment ...., lower wage take ....and ......migrants threats
A means of keeping warm and moving around  ........High cost energy threats
Economic futures confusion    Greenlabor offer limp jobs and trades in trees not careers in eco leadership

Both major parties are in deep trouble because they cannot be convincing about their ability to deal with the above issues.
Who would trust those emerging parties who see the problems, but have no eco advisers for solutions

More uncertainty threatens, just as it does right across the West .
Economy presses when a Ecological economic framing would greatly reduce the stresses.

The overly comfortable Libs are split but that's not all bad because there is within the conservatives who once found a home there an energy ( forget the many comfortable libs ) for
stronger medicine and tougher parenting.

I just hope the Conservatives  take seriously that no leader can really work in such a rich but threatened ecosystem without taking advice - expert economic  and ecological economic advice.

The current incumbents talk about toughness ,but the reality is they offer only tokens ; costing us our assets and profits that could be used productively.... instead of being thrown to the wind . Green labor - so heavenly minded they are of little earthly use (always said of the overly religious)

Some hope ?
The one enemy of our age we can deal with,  if we stop lying about, is poor parenting and throwing our savings into ineffective tokens

Albanese runs a team of too dull too easy

Just a brief reflection ( now that the election result is clear ) FOR all of those of us who, now this weekend , deeply grieve at the lost opportunities to build an Australia we are proud of.

I personally grieve that stupid blinkered guilt ridden, self centred and scientifically and otherwise ignorant Australians, as some of the most wealthy in the world, will continue to waste the opportunities they had to build and strengthen our children's future.

Visiting the people of eastern Europe over the last month has been very sobering for me for many reasons but in particular because, I can see not only in their current and long past land and work life struggles, the killing effects of an idealism that is only half baked . Australians as a whole at the moment, clearly can't.
Australians clearly cannot see that their governments huge investments in real world problem solving are tokenistic and temporary.
Perhaps thats what the rich have always done, but it doesn't make watching it happen in our free democracy easy.

I hate my generation for investing badly in guilt assuaging measures that do not, as Spain has shown this week, do anything to help us better manage our always limited resources.
Vigilance is always the key to true freedom and visiting Europe at this moment is a very sobering reminder of that of what we currently lack on our own island.

It's been my job to understand and care about what really works in resource management, but who really cares to build Australia as a place where careers and lives are built on the solid stuff of that!!!!

Republicans win -

 Why was the result such a surprise to those who like to think of themselves as" intellectual and progressives";
Are the people fickle and was the main reason the cost of living?
Yes but it's also about unconvincing chatter and scare campaigns by those who have NO Life experience and no practical science engagement to know why their biggest worry ( Global warming) changed to something that tries to take all ( Climate change ) means nothing but Ur saying nothing  - completely unprovable ( CO2 role in air temp )

Soon it will not be safe (scientifically) for anyone to safely talk about CO2 even though twits like Bowen and Greens may think they will.

SUMMARY
Because the comfortable elites (cheque in the mail every fortnight) have stopped listening and still run stupid and no longer relevant old Marxist prejudices and HYPOCRISY about whose rich and whose poor and why .

The right and left divide is the lefts myth that has been exploded TODAY .
The democrats and Leftists have nothing to say and their incompetence and distraction by the Greens and old rich class hate comes to the fore.

Today's result in the USA is IMO a welcome victory for higher productivity and less sentimentality. A victory for hardworking people ( eg Regional )and less support for comfortable dependants . (eg Cities )
But such basic and responsible wins are hard to get because the ignorant idealists effectively hold power and force vote seeking nonsense TALK and PROMISES by big party leaders. ( eg less than 1% of population are farmers )
We in Australia need to note one reason why most Western Democracies are vulnerable to weird thinking idealism--- One vote one value seems fair . but makes popular chatter and the voice of the dependants the deciding factor.

Having said all that there is always a risk that poor and powerless will suffer if another rich group now get comfortable. We have some tough eco issues that require hard edges discomfort and real precision in decision. As a regional person who knows how much the public purse chasers get, I suggest anyone who gets a regular cheque ( incl from shares ) recognize who really are the poor. Time to rid ourselves of old prejudices about poor workers /unionists and the terrible nature of big business owners when they are shareholders with regular income . SOME MORE SOBER STUFF just in case you think I am far right , I am with SOLZ in saying that The West still does NOT YET have the courage and is too comfortable to properly look after its children. The Speech That Cost Solzhenitsyn Everything | Harvard Commencement Address 1978 (youtube.com) POSITIVES This new team will have the chance to not follow the idealists in their ignorant doctrines and scare campaigns that are anti science,

Danger of all dangers

Neitzsche said the danger of all dangers is that the herd mentality of those who cannot bring themselves to say what success is,  will continue to pull down those who do.

The public service and those who are dependent on them are nearly a majority

Should we trust them? Are we getting a good return for all that taxing?
Young people in Australia are , since 2008 ( when there was no Commonwealth debt )  bearing our debt to the tune of $15000 per person) , Hidden behind that growing lack of productivity are lack of careers in science.
What a terrible legacy we leave to our children.

Do the Government need more things to fail in?

The majority are not always right
and when civilization is under threat ( a complex matter of truth) the comfortable collective may not be willing to face why we got here and how and where we should move to .
The risk of the sheep jumping at shadows ( from all sides) is exacerbated in our era by screen addiction adding to the insecurity and mad jumping around of the desperate and dying old media machines.
Our taxes are more than ever lost to last causes ( Something a range of thinking scientists and observers Above named Whitehead Ellul noted

As an ecosystem resilience advisor, I have a lot to add to the completely unstable assertions about conservation imperatives from all sides , but such matters require precision and a willingness to listen , not to the many wannabes , but those competent to prosecute sustainability ONLY. Another time and place.

Trump or no ?
There are things I don't like about Trump but his team of supporters have competence on their side . The incumbents have only decades of incompetence driving them still.
The greatest evil is done in the name of the best intention and only the positivity that comes from precision in decision will help us all in the West move forward.

Some examples

Dr. Phil Just Risked It All With a Surprising Speech in Support of Donald Trump

He basically just called the Democratic Party a bunch of bullies because they ruin people's careers and shame them to oblivion if they dare support Donald Trump. Now, he's giving the bully party a big middle finger and throwing his support for Trump. “I'm not here just to stand up for Donald J. Trump. Lord knows he doesn't need me to stand up for him. He's tough as an old army boot. He's got lots of enemies, different groups that are scared. And between them, they have impeached him, indicted him, raided him, railroaded him, shot him, and sued him. And where is he? He is still standing. He just keeps on because he loves this country, too.”

Something very empty and reactionary in the Labor leadership ?

 Queensland election 26th October 2024

Steven Miles didn't win but he still makes out his free lunch idea will create a great leap forward in education. Sure works a treat sometimes with some people. Daniel Andrews will always be fighting the image of his term as fear driven and his contribution as more about ruling by law rather than by education, Respect for me and what I know and not the minds of them who voted to trust me.
What is going on inside their heads "I don't trust you cause , perhaps I don't trust myself? "

How can anyone trust those who condemn and attack another leaders character , unless they have
nothing else to say . Miles ( like Bowen ) tries to talk empty budget in the opposition but the emptiness was closer to home. Miles couldn't bring himself to honor achievement ( past ) and made the pathetic attempt to tick something unfulfilled , unframed and full of mystery of his own that he says he WOULD HAVE done in the future.

How can a leader whose going out , not focus on substance ( of his term and by all parties) unless he is unsure of that substance.

Nietzsche said the danger of all dangers is that the herd mentality of those who cannot bring themselves to say what success is, will continue to pull down those who do.

If not Economics , certainly Ecology

This post is inspired by  A press Club discussion headed by Colin Barnett and Saul Eslake. Well done to both of them and Laura and The Press Club  for hosting .

Their thoughtful recommendations to set GST transfers in some sort of concrete appears very grounded.

Especially when you look at the idiotic hoop jumping most small taxpayers and empires of bureaus create. If young people are to contribute to this great country, they must not think their houses are the key to prosperity as we seem to.
Saul's gibes (banning timber harvesting )  and Colins counter jibe (no pokies in WA) aside,  the  issue of funding  health and  education need the independence ( to create true resilience education instead of half baked education at our bereft universities )

The key point is , while both the guests know a lot about economic realities and prosperity and in Colins case ---real empire building ambitions  few sitting in seats have any idea how to make all the Talk of the BIGGER PICTURE in ECOLOGY  happen.

It's about real risk  EDUCATION and not the token and guilt ridden obfuscation (and fear of complex natural forces)  of the media simples stories.

ECONOMISTS  don't know everything  and cooperation and risk taking without too much government education and science in practice ( with ALL environment  questions ) is the key-----ECOLOGY

Why no thinking Australian should support the minorities who currently control the agendas .

While the ignorant and arrogant Greens and wannabes control our electoral system, our politicians will talk to their childish halfbaked rubbish and spend money to try and control things like hot air.

Who is the idiot here ? The city or the country? The progressives or the practical ?

Are the people of Australia really racist ?  I would say with Jacinta clearly not , but others will keep wondering  The real people  have just rejected  letting any one culture ,voice or race  have an unequal voice and they were right to do so . Why progressives let themsleves be conned by 65000 years of history is clear -- they didn't study it or culture properly but relied on some shallow form of naturally led blessing .
The future is with science and sound practice informed by culture , not the other way around.

Last night the people rejected a man who thought he was doing the right thing to honor a wonderful woman who was doing the right thing .
Lets hope this woman continues to inspire us and the world and resist the nonsense of good intentions  being forced into our already overloaded listening system.
As Jacinta said , This is indeed a great country and we as a people are pleased that our democracy is practically supportive ( and not theoretical) of an equal voice for all .

I hope free people everywhere  will rejoice with us .

Progressives will take a while to absorb the referendum result . They need to look closely at why their faith in culturally constructed truths is really moribund and inadequate for our kids future .

They may never realize the fact that the elites insisted on a change in the listening system which was a result of them NOT listening and a faith in the mythical magic idea of change in laws to make men better . This last attitude was for a time in Western history left in the dark past and hopefully will go back there.
The changes proposed by the government were as shallow as shit and the people rejected them .

The boy used words "we ,they "+ made it all sound like what he decided was about the will+generosity of the people. But really, it was all about him. Legacy of just another man who can't see how he justifies great evil in the name of the best intention.
