The left have nothing to be proud of

 Tonights result in The State Election is no surprise. 

I didn't campaign this year after giving weeks in decades before. This trend has been coming for decades .
We conservatives and producers in the country have been losing our seats for decades simply because we are a dying breed ; even rural areas accumulate people retiring from the city.

The left should not assume they are doing anything right because the cityites control the parliament by numbers . Until the hippocket hurts there is not enough pain to get even resistance to the incumbents.

 Everyone out West clearly wants Dan and his panic merchant wastrels to go .

We only hope the city see through his dancing and prancing in the name of his own brilliance - including his recent mad trinkets to pay for his mistakes. We all know the health and police department situation needs, like his Cabinet, to go .

It 's mid November 2022(20th) and very few farmers in SW Australia have made hay or even silage.

The weekly deluges highlight the very poor drainage of most of our soils and the impact of soil drainage and sun on slowing growth in springs like these. Farmers and cows can't get onto paddocks because they will get bogged.

Our dams are full right across the SW of Australia with reservoirs like Dartmouth and the Thompson ( drought storages ) overflowing. It takes that rare time when soils are wet for the very rare flows in rivers. Noone is sure where Flannery and the ABC's worry brigade are when reality strikes BUt This is Australia Mate ; we know it and it doesn't drive us into panic mode like it does you.

Most of Western Europe has better drained soils than ours. In the land of droughts and flooding rains, you get the mower out when it's still raining and even then you run high risks of losing it.

So much so that many farmers would leave hay making till this time of year when the weather was better , but the grasses had gone to seed and the feed quality poor.

The only places I have seen with the bales done in our long trip through NSW and Victoria have been in well drained soils of Dune limestone in Warnambool ( picture here ) and a few places up near Mansfield .

Those of us who have ever made hay in Australia know that the English expression " Make hay while the sun shines " is inadequate .This is Hopkins falls on 18th.

Welcome to another nightmare - Parliaments in a panic

 We probably agree that there is not much choice in the Opposition to getting rid of the comfortable left in Victoria on November 26th 2022 .
We can first off ditch the lazy self centered persons in the Upper House who have got what they wanted and neglected what the country needed .
 I wrote to both about local issues and got no replies ; Stuart Hanley and Andy Meddick
 However,  let me remind you of my experience repeated through the years. 

"The thing I hate most about what many in the upper seats of parliament do is they get what they want by agreeing to allow foolish  ignorant fanatical tyrants to jail us up for years based on their joint ignorant fear based helicopter style of parenting and environmental control.

 While most young people of a certain age are in fits of depression over what they see as the blind sheep of persons of a certain age making trite statements about " how wonderful the Queen is " (Elizabeth died this week).....
some of us are really enjoying what Monarchies can do that republics can't .

What modified monarchies like ours can do to go beyond and above the crass political games and model the really great objective of really listening ( as Elizabeth did )is before each day and year. the commonwealth games, speeches to the nations in times of stress  etc  

The Crown models not only the idea but also the reality of Crown land and its place of refuge, freedom and recreation for all people , let alone the idea and wonder of a  job in the service of the public.( don't knock it) 

And that's not all.  The simple personal act of dedicating your life to a life of service is a living tangible testimony to the person the Queen and many of our famous and respected forefathers followed. and what a great job it can be -- not at the mercy of a contract from the rich ( don't knock it !!!)
And if want to be the depressing cynic  and  focus on some bad thing monarchies  do, think of all the great modeling she got from her parents " The Kings' Speech " 

I don't see the value here in going on about it because of all the adult children in my world who have never grown up to honor their parents as they were taught to do. Honor not obedience is the command meaning we can disagree with someone n Authority  ( like our parents, teachers and the law) and still enjoy them and honor them for focusing well .  
What a mess we make of our own lives if we can't honor people or we have to " make them in the image of perfect " .

The rules are there for our own good - let's encourage our children to know them .
To see in the stories of our kings Queens families like our own that are fractured  but living in the scrutiny of others --   no wonder we pray for them to be strong !

The implications of Post Christian thinking on the talk of Republic as an alternative

 

The accurate answer is , as was said below, is that thinking Christians know neither Monarchy or Republic is perfect. This means most of us can cope with both forms of governance. 

After all there is no wind in the sails of Turnbull and  the "new republic" movement . We are already a republic .Turnbull should take the "takes one to know one advice"; his  images of  childish  can be turned  around to be examples of a child who has never grown up  to honor and accept  his own weakness ----- and others

Who are the followers of Jesus going to vote for?

But what could be less boring than not being at all predictable in their political  allegiances .

You might like to lump Christians as  right wingers but everyone  from the Ceasars to Rudd and Albanese  knows we can't be trusted to vote along simple party lines, ever ; 
Observers  are right to talk about weird and unpredictable  --if we think God spoke to us,  we may ignore every party to follow the man whom we think God has chosen - not only weird but very scary for politicians !

Take the Labor Party in Australia who took office in 2007 by standing a Christian and then removing him. I know because this welded on right winger voted for Kevin Rudd, not because he was brilliant and "God's gift to the county" but because the Liberal party were being so beligerantly arrogant about their right to rule .
Yes the sheep are there but always remember they probably occupy both sides of both parties.

DONT UNDERESTIMATE CHRISTIANS who read that book
You see Christians have the best sheep and wolf management policy ever -- "don't trust either of them and don't think yourself God in being able to distinguish  whose playing who at the time.
While considerable numbers of church goers are the very worst kind of sheep ( who don't think) most know better than to box ALL the world's people whom God created in his image ( John 3:16) are to be dumped in one criminal box or another . 
Let alone be simple enough to just lie down and let their hormones take over , The old nature worship never work before ; nature and hormones need not determine how the human animal behaves .
Christians , more than most,  believe in disciplining one' s mind (ie  comes first) and by that means ones body and all its hormones follow from that.

 For the first time in decades I don't feel my participation in writing and campaigning is worth it, because the people are very fickle and desperate; the parties stink and are far too comfortable.

One thing I will consider ( not because I think independents are the answer ) is the move amongst some of the young people in SW Victoria to campaign for someone who truly represents them.
#AlexDyson ( JJJ) didn't offer preferences. Nothing is perfect, but when our young people are at least interested in changing the future locally and from the ground up , for themselves and don't ALWAYS look to preferencing ( es housing and work ) that's encouraging.

A prediction . The country will be screaming for change by June 2023

These woosy parents have yet to witness the hopeless racket in Parliament that comes from accepting house rules written by the children 

Anyone who has worked with a  group of people knows that the majority can be wrong so whats with mature people wearing the blinkers; too afraid to adopt the  principals of fairness  ( everyone should get a proper hearing every day of every week in Parliament  ) but the principle of might is right . Good old Labor ___the most UNFAIREST OF PARTIES  MR MARLES 




It would be funny if it wasn't so religious in its high-minded ambitions and complete impracticability.
Strange that, at this moment, the innocents and cynics in the cities are choosing to play god and solve the climate problem when they haven't got a clue about what they are going to do about the problem. Just throw money and old tech as Labor did before? . 
It s just plain scary because instead of feeding its people , its going to starve them ( with higher taxes ) while the committee decide. . 
The rich wage, tax, margin and shareholder trains down there won't slow down as quickly as the spirit of the people who feed them .
The hastily drawn together  committee will never agree . 
Over the next three years the cities will learn that they know nothing and therefore cannot agree on anything. 
At least rural people will remain unified through the next three years while the wokes spend their days wandering around in the mire of indecision and ignorance they have created or sought to limit themselves to. 

Morrison has given away his opportunity to be an effective resistance to the new climate change alliance ( that ephemeral nonsense maybe the only thing the new wishy washup agree on ) by agreeing to net zero. How dumb and blind are these leafy suburb liberals are.

The reality is that the working class are not going to pay these facile newbies  to build more windmills and sequestration schemes that don't do anything for climate. BACK TO THE REAL WORLD 
 I have been fighting for proper representation for regional areas for decades. I will probably now give up. -- certainly for 3years.  The simple "change is good "idea people will be hanging out for change WELL before the next election . 

It was a miracle the LNP got in last time. The teal independents will prove me right in that our democracy is totally unfair because the city has a stranglehold on what happens.And it knows nothing . 
The weird thing is that this is not a win for common sense, but for the mad maths that says that the majority should dominate, the mad inhuman stuff that says the strong must dominate the weak. 

50 km out is now the only place where conservatives are taken seriously.
Thankfully we won't change. we will have friends who make sense and make good company .
God help the wokedoms cause they are a house divided and will fail.

The city will now get what they deserve - more dreaming, more woke, guilt and giving in to dependency demands, projection and nothing to inspire our children or employ them. Debts, taxes and disparity outta control.

Because of the shallow faith in mere numbers ( the strong should dominate the weak), we dinosaurs will not be welcome within 50 km of cities.

Reject the quickfixers but watch out for more tyrants

 It has to be said that going Independant is a bit of a fad and there is every chance ( we should all be intelligent gamblers or cynics or both?) that most of the current crop are ,if not me generation" my way of the highway" types,
will  turn out to be ONE HIT WONDERS.Are they real team players or snake oil salemen ?

Independent candidates often appeal to people because they offer " the new " and seem progressive. not burdened by " the past" and the staid old stuff.  Fair enough-- that's me and most rural people everywhere .

While I will still make the difficult decision to support conservatives and team players, a good friend Augusto Zimmermann has just released a book on Scomo pointing out that he and many others in Parliament are living on the unsustainable whiff of appearing strong ( when we are surrounded by weakness woosy and soft -- the puppets in charge of parties for eg)
Think of ALL THE PREMIERS who wouldn't be in power if they weren't focused on pretending to be TOUGH ( say on lung infections ) - who now insist on mandating what makes no sense.


My point -- don't end up with puppets in charge because those who act strong and tough but aren't, will fall .The independent can be the tyrant who hasn't got the team spirit.   Aim for long term gain by rejecting the short term gain spinners everytime

 You should value them , especially if their work in the locality is well known and respected.
Fine. Vote for an independent/minor but remember your main vote is either LNP or GreenLabor in charge and you have to choose between them .  IMO Your second vote should be for one of them. 

Don't just vote according to the voting suggestion  card.
Use both of your Votes ! 

Mastering the flat battery syndrome

  If Labor win the next federal election it won't be because they make sense  They have the numbers in the city ( where common environmental sense doesn't matter )  - as this site shows  ( unlike Antony Greens hypocrisy maps on ABC don't show)   .

I do hope the people of Australia see the powerless projects of Greenlabor just as they have seen , at the best , that many people have a faith ( as all the labor  church  attendees have shown in recent weeks ) other than in stupid and ignorant polys and their machines . Bandt has summarized their joint position - stop everything and do nothing. 
What a terrible state for once proudly clever and competent focused Aussies . 
 Shorten failed to connect to the power source and now Albo is headed the same way .( recharging stations)   Could he be any dumber?

I am a  professional greenie,  but political Greenies  love to talk about important issues without actually finding out how things work in nature and then working with nature .That is plain wrong and leads to generalized idealistic bull. 

Worse, their worship of nature means they don't wanna work with sacred nature ( say recycling native chemicals ) and that makes them dumb scientists ,hypocritical and irresponsible ( they have no plan for response-able interference in nature )

 

Like most polys too( as now many young people realize )they think they know and because they haven't really connected to the grid in any effective way ( politics MUST be achievable. practical and realistic ) they are just unpredictable and dangerous when they get the power they seek .

 DO not support them in coalition -- even Labor don't trust them, but they WILL  go to bed with each other if people vote for either of them 

Do what you like people .

 Democracy doesn't work .....and what what doesn't work in a  technological society will get thrown out   
 

And the city really doesn't have to listen , It has enough people to safely say it can ignore the small voices . It can and does !  What sort of person sits where fair play stinks.

 
There is safety in many voices but at the moment  greenlabor are drunk with the power they have to do just whatever they like --OR  sorry what some twit in the margins wants .
Any one who currently sits in parliament should  resign or get reforms to the electoral act so that our children have something to believe  in . Go independents. 

We can now do the impossible

I'll leave you to fill in the details. One example , the noisemakers believe it can meet Net Zero targets when in reality  these people have absolutely no idea how to do it.  

Those of us who have advised ministers know the problem .
The person in charge doesn't know what he/ she doesn't know. ( and won't admit it , just as the people who voted for them have the same problem) 

We all know it takes a big ego  to lead, but there are times in democratic history when only the outta touch want to be elected. 
The ones who know that the job description given by the electors is impossible have better things to do. 

Amazingly,  it's the faith of the people that " the majority of people know what they are doing"  that is at the heart of the inflated expectations of this day .

Sometimes they simply don't . 
  
There was a time in recent history when parliament would actually hear the practical reality corrections from members that would make its laws work . The  good intentions of the initiator would have some hope of making sense in practice. 
Because of that possibility ( sometimes ) some of us practical economists and ecologists have spent years trying to shoot down the simplicities . 

Why aren't we no longer being listened to ?  Because the challenges  we as  society face are very complex, involve conflict , not obvious costs and consequences ; effectiveness requires the sort of coopertaion not easily obtained .
Dr Dan is leading the innovative response to this by forcing obedience. It would be good if he knew what he was doing. 

For the moment he looks like he is effectively spending our resources,   but his quick fix approach ( and the long feedback time ) means  that there will be  no long term gain from all his ever changing  pain plans .  

Daniel Andrews was and is  talking the impossible. The appeal of tackling the impossible is strong esp when you are not paying . You only have to look at their failed investments and their non existent  qualifications to promote practical use of our taxes.

When both USA candidates remind us that we  seem to get the government we deserve.  
When  we see the truth that empty phrases fill the pages., we ought to be praying rather than putting our hopes in polys and political processes.  
I mean somehow some good has come out of it ...so how did that happen? 
Maybe there is a God after all , because the gods before us have feet of clay and voices like yesterdays wind.   
The man whose mouth is an open book coins the truth of "fake" news and we all realize that he /we would rather have someone remove all doubt than have a living voice that repeats only slogans of the past .

When fast news happens The author WAUGH  ( Scoop) would, I think,  be pleased,  as i am,  to announce a new word to the lexicon -fastidious news  - or fast news

The GIS group who produced the red blue maps for the USA probably didn't realize they would be proclaiming the truth to us to USA  and the whole wide world  that the city//country . progressives/\/ conservatives divide was so real. The truth jumped out of the box so we could see what others were hiding . The city has the numbers to win,  and if you rely on numbers your team will win. Who cares about fair if you win office  , Is this map above fair and what Federation fathers meant to give us ?   

What Aussies need to realize and left  needs to know is why with 60% of the electorates  it still hasn't got 60 % of the practical people's vote   and is not likely to have if it plays to  talk of god like powers, responsibilities and abilities 
Doesn't bear thinking about what Biden's and the lefts  ( unrepresentative and ineffective ) agendas lie behind the lefts agenda here and there  , 

Acting tough

If you don't trust the claims of the consistently tough but loving God found in the great collection , you will find it very tough to  find someone you can trust . The earth bound ones, in our democracy  

ACT as if they know what they are doing. It is true  as Professor  John Passmore said   in his wonderful Boyer lecturers on the the Limits of Government . Leaders find it almost impossible to tell the public that they don't really know exactly what to do
.It will help you to understand the applicants  even if this information doesn't help them. It will also help you to chose a leader who doesn't pretend to know too much   even if his heart and his latest achievements are on his sleeve ,he knows from experience to listen in order to get
consensus and results.
It will help you to see the real possibilities by studying not what they talk about doing but How they have done things and exactly HOW they will change the world. How much acting,  how much play acting and how much doing ?  
In hard economic times  or "when the people want only what they want"  only actors may apply for the job

 False hope  A  very poor leader is one who acts to please the people - who gives them what they want . Good news or" we are doing ok news ", .When the people are desperate for hope, such  offer solutions that target hope alone. If that hope be heavenly, it takes our minds from the real world politics that doesn't work?  

God assumption This person might not say they are God, but they ACT like they are. The  situation occasionally arises in history when such a person , who may not have been trained his mind this way,   will use various bits of the above to make him/her appear that way.   Idolatry is common enough .

 On the basis , not on his character,  but what he /the republicans mostly stand for,  I hope Donald Trump and the Republicans win.
 I think the people have enough evidence of the fanciful , and enough good sense , to make a choice for the practical at this time. If I am right it will show in the  candidate wins as well . If i am right it will show in the candidates win more that in the votes for president .

Clearly the fanatical reactionary progressives in Australia are still in shock from last time. They  have not seen that many of their heavenly minded agendas are on the "reality is needed" skids too  .    



BIG PICTURE The idea of a president elect is not one I support, but the idealistic, reactionary  and out of touch attitudes of Democrats ( in general ) I cannot support .
The vulnerability of many thinking people to the Stockholm syndrome astounds me.
Q&A chairman last night tried to frame COVID as a crisis/virus  we can control and therefore people who don't agree with spending an "abundance of economic reserves" being poured into are deniers... 
No people who throw an "abundance of caution" at  a problem are those who are out of touch with the real world (esp when they ty to use our money and not real world risk management  to make decisions)

I do not support the Liberals either because they are as out of touch with reality as anyone in politics in Australia at the moment.


If a new association were thinking more they would win the hearts of our young people for a better and fairer and more stable working place /democracy as Ray Martin and  Kathy McGowan are now doing  . Being tough . Adjusting our representation so it is much more fair . 

The biggest threat to democracy in AUSTRALIA is happening THIS OCTOBER

 Probably lots of Councils around Australia are much worse off than ours
with lots of people standing,  unaware of how their good intentions will be thwarted by others , 

 24 candidates are on offer for 7 positions in Warnambool,( photo)   If 2 let alone 3 friends ( shown here ) get in they can have over 50% of the casing vote . 

The system must be changed back to at  least 11 candidates and maybe wards or this nonsense will kil democracy and faith in it .
The numbers of Shires in administration  is not unexpected - more mayhem to come ?

Good intentions won't stop stupid lemmings from banding together and running off a cliff .
Doctor death Andrews might be popular for making us feel guilty in a crisis,  but when his latest virtual  catastrophe is over,  he will be on the nose for leading his  lost cabinet of simpletons  over a cliff .

They started by saying there must be a better way ,which is OK,  but "which branching off when" ,They had no idea ,   they still have no idea
Starting off a new religion was never going to work but Labor and the Greens  signed up.  Too far back you hackers.
Sure they talked up some of the inadequacies of the old Western institutions but they forget the real future of any "evolution" is in reform , not revolution .You have to understand the enemy before you can defeat him.
Greenlabor is running a new religion where they expect moral sacrifice (CC control by us stop burning coal) , don't talk reasonable actions or even theories . Might have a worked a little longer except the people didn't buy in to the incomprehensible action plan and who was paying for this unsustainable irrational and highly costly religion to survive
